The decision of the UK government to leave the European Union, better known as ‘Brexit’, means that Highland Office Equipment – part of the Capital Document Solutions group must be well-prepared to deal with the challenges that this event may present. Inevitably there is still a great deal of uncertainty around the implications that leaving the European Union may have on the availability of supplies.
Our focus has always been on providing the best level of service and support for our clients and we understand that you may have concerns about how Brexit could affect the availability of supplies for your print devices. Our focus ahead of Brexit, therefore, has been on minimising any potential risks which may arise by working closely with our suppliers.
How we are providing for clients with a service contract
If you have a contract with us where we provide consumables (parts, toner, staples, etc) to keep your devices running on an inclusive copy/print cost, we have taken delivery of two months’ additional stock of supplies and parts in order to keep your machines running and serviced.
Our partner manufacturers are also stockpiling parts and supplies in the UK and have looked at alternative methods of importing their products through different ports, with the possibility of bypassing Europe altogether.
Advice to clients who ‘pay per order’ for supplies and parts
If you buy supplies, toner cartridges, stationery and paper from us we would recommend you consider purchasing additional stock to cover your requirements as early as possible to minimise the risk of shortage.
