Highland Office Equipment (HOE), part of the Capital Document Solutions group, has helped raise valuable funds for leading cancer support charity Maggie’s.
Company directors Alex Main and Steven McLennan took part in the annual Maggie’s Highlands Golf Day. They were joined by clients Gary Moore, of Highland Dental Plan, and Magnus Swanson, owner of Swansons Fruit Company.
It was a day to remember for Magnus who struck a hole in one on the 17th hole – winning a Range Rover Evoque, worth £40,000, in the process. Additionally, Magnus won a putter for being closest to the pin at the 11th hole.
More than 40 teams took part in the friendly competition which was played at Castle Stuart, near Ardersier. The internationally renowned course hosted last year’s Scottish Open.
The charity event, which was followed by a gala dinner, saw a total of £41,000 raised with all proceeds going to Maggie’s Highlands cancer care centre.
Alex Main, sales director at HOE, said: “Congratulations to Magnus on his success; it really is well deserved. It proved to be a great day out and everyone seemed to thoroughly enjoy themselves.
“This is the fourth consecutive year we have taken part in the event and Castle Stuart was once again an outstanding course to play on, while the level of customer service we received was first-class.”
Steven McLennan, service director at HOE, said: “We’re pleased to have been able to help raise some much-needed funds for Maggie’s Highlands which does a lot of terrific work for those affected by cancer and their families.”
Based at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness, Maggie’s Highlands provides free practical, emotional and social support to people with cancer and their family and friends.
