Global technology giant Konica Minolta has presented one of its top awards to Highland Office Equipment at its annual partner awards ceremony.
HOE joined the exclusive Millionaires Club, having been named as one of the best performing dealers, based on its annual spend in excess of £1.5million. The business was also named runner-up for the overall Best UK Dealer honour in terms of increased unit sales for the Konica Minolta range of products.
The Inverness-based company, part of the Capital Document Solutions group, was recognised for its sales achievements at Konica Minolta’s UK-wide awards event, held at St George’s Park in Staffordshire – home of the England football team.
Highland Office Equipment is the official dealer for Konica Minolta products in the Highlands and Islands and Moray areas.
Alex Main, sales director at HOE, said: “These prestigious awards are testament to our company’s ability to provide local sales and service backed up with world-leading products.
“We have a long-standing relationship with Konica Minolta which has brought a wide range of benefits to our customers in Inverness and the surrounding area. It’s good to be recognised nationally for our success with Konica Minolta products.”
Mark Lloyd, director of indirect sales at Konica Minolta UK, said: “We have built up a close working relationship with Highland Office Equipment over many years and value them as a partner in the Highlands and Islands area.”
Highland Office Equipment was acquired by Capital Document Solutions in February 2013 and is now part of the largest independently owned office equipment supplier in Scotland. HOE is a key player in the company’s national Scottish network of sales and service, supplying the private and public sectors across all areas of Scotland, delivering a local service with the strength and support of a national company.
Capital is dedicated to the Scottish market, employing more than 200 people to service and support its growing client base.
HOE is based at Technology House, Harbour Road in Inverness. It provides photocopiers, printers, furniture, stationery, service support and office solutions to a broad range of clients including Dounreay Site Restoration Ltd, NHS Highland and the University of the Highlands and Islands.
HOE employs 31 people in Inverness and is led by sales director Alex Main and service director Steven McLennan. Alex is the son of the late Bill Main while Steven is the son of Roy McLennan – two well-respected local business people who established Highland Office Equipment in 1974.
